Welcome to Kolekt's Waste Simulator.

The Simulator is treasure trove of waste management information and data - for any country in the world. It also allows you to simulate waste policy scenarios.

  • Forecast waste production, collections by material type, source and location for up to 10 years.
  • Calculate the potential EPR and Municipal revenues that are needed to achieve your waste recovery goals
  • Make estimations of EPR fees per KG, and Municipal collection fees per material type
  • Calculate the necessary infrastructure: trucks, drop-off points, MRFs, bins and even bags.
  • Forecast the operating expenses (Opex), both municipal and private sector
  • Run national simulations, but also municipal simulations using our optimized collection area method
  • See the impact on Jobs, CO2 emissions, waste pollution to nature and more.
  • Almost 1000 parameters can be modified by you, you can improve the data

Kolekt's Waste Simulator was inspired by the UN Plastic Treaty meetings in 2024 and 2025.
